Rainbow Fun...

Hey!

Happy Saturday! I did warn you that I'd been very inky recently, trying to make the most of my last days off work so the good (or bad) news for you is that I'm bloggin' like crazy and posting nearly everyday! :)

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards I made to join in the celebrations of Rainbow Week on Lucy's fabby blog (I'm so happy she's up and crafting again - I've missed her creations!)

As y'know I'm a *huge* fan of rainbow themes on cards (you can check out my fun with rainbow cards here and here) so this wasn't really a challenge for me, but just some really fun inky therapy!

You'll have to forgive me but I'm still grasping on to those last few days of summer with the theme of this card and still have a bit of a fixation with googly eyes:

So Sweet!

Each lolly is also smothered in Glossy Accents too for extra shine but my photo doesn't pick that up. I love how a couple of those lollies (Mr Yellow and Mr Green in particular - no it's not Reservoir Dogs but Reservoir Lollies in this case - ha!) decided to pull a face when I was taking my pic! Naughty li'l things :)

And for those of you who just can't do cute or googly eyes here's a super CAS take on the rainbow theme (totally inspired by my past Gallery Idol Card)

you color my world

I was having more digi fun with this card for those stitches. After making this, I think I may even blow the dust of Machiney (my sewing machine) to recreate this card with real stitches when I'm feeling brave enough...

That's all the rainbow fun from me today - thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget I have a little giveaway open for the software used to create the stitches on my final card so why not try your luck?

Catch ya later!

A Giveaway!

Hey!

TGI Friday! I know I'm still on my hols, but it's a bank holiday weekend here in the UK which means I can share a tiny piece of my long hols with my guy :)

Because it's Friday (and nearly the start of a 3 day weekend) I feel like celebrating. How about a little giveaway?

Well seeing as I've being delving into the digital side this week on the blog, I'm gonna continue the theme and offer the software that I've been playing with to one lucky peep!

Yup - those sweet folks at My Memories.com have given me a copy of their software - My Memories Suite - to give away! So if you're feeling a little unsure about the whole digi thing but would like to give it a go, then this is the perfect chance at getting a play for free!

Don't worry, I won't make you jump through hoops to enter. All you need to do is pop across to the My Memories.com store, have a nosy, come back here and leave a comment telling me what your fave kit is and your experience with digis (Are you new to them? Do you use them all the time? Do you like to combine digi with good ol' ink and stamps?)

All comments must be received by 9am on Thursday 1st Sept (UK time) and I'll reveal a winner later that day (the winner has a week to contact me before I draw another winner)

And before I scoot - here's another card I made with the MMS software:

Friend

Combined with a few crafty supplies of course *wink*

If you haven't seen my other projects made with MMS, you can check 'em out here , here and here! And if you can't wait to see if you win a copy of the software, then you can grab your own $10 dollar discount on it and a $10 coupon to use at the store here :)

Wishing you all a wonderful and fabulous weekend (and a long one here in the UK - yay!)

Digital....not only for the scrapbookers!

Hey!

I'm back once again! I'm really trying to make the most of my last couple of weeks off and squeezing in as much inky time as possible so you're probably gonna be fed up of me by the end of next week - ha!

Well, as promised, I'm sharing a couple of cards I've created using the My Memories Suite (MMS) software. These are hybrid projects (I couldn't resist the urge to ink up a stamp for each *wink*)

So firstly I took full advantage of the digital stitches available on the software. Anything to keep the peace between me and Machiney (my much neglected sewing machine that I have a love/hate relationship with!)

So Happy

Not sure if you can see it, but there's a circular panel of houndstooth pattern on this card (my camera struggled to capture it!) It was based on this Viva La Verve Sketch (I'm trying really hard to squeeze 'em all in this month!) I totally CAS-ified it but I'm hoping that's OK!

Next, a card totally dedicated to my bloggin' buddy, Moe (aka Diva!)

hello friend

Whilst admiring the many pretty patterns available on the MMS software I came across this very cool, chic leopard print. As soon as I saw it I just knew I had to use it for Moe's amusement. Y'see Moe has some gorgeous lounge pants with this pattern and they're known as her official stamping pants! Hope you like the card, Diva :)

Seeing as this is a card dedicated to a fabby friend, I'm also entering this into the Paper Crafts August 2011 Gallery Challenge too.

Again - this card was based on this Viva La Verve Sketch which I followed a bit better thanks to Andrea being on a CAS kick when she sketched it *wink*

Well I hope you likey. One things for sure, digital ain't half as scary as I thought it would be :)

Remember, you can get a $10 discount of the My Memories Suite software and $10 of free software from the My Memories Store by simply entering this promo code:
